Team Projects
Labor Economics, Fall 2025
Introduction
- This research project is a critical component of your final assessment in this semester’s course. Students will work and be evaluated in teams. Ideally, each team should consist of 2-3 students, with no more than 3 members per team. (If you need help finding teammates, please contact me directly.)
Milestones for the Team Project

Each team will deliver one formal presentation on a research topic related with labor economics at the end of the semester. The presentation should be about 10 minutes long and should include the following sections:
- Introduction
- Literature Review
- Data, Variables, and Summary Statistics
- Empirical Strategy
- Expected Results
Normally, 20 minutes will be allocated for each team, including 12 minutes for the presentation and 8 minutes for Q&A. The presentation can be in English or Chinese, but the slides should be prepared in English.
